Banff White Water Adventures with The Banff Rafting Association!

Who are The Banff Rafting Association?

Thank you for taking the time to find out!

The Banff Rafting Association came from out of the the work and love of rafting embodied by Ted Bilton and Liz Webber about 19 years ago. Ted and Liz remain involved daily with every aspect of the Banff Rafting Association to this day.
aboutus_03They worked in rafting and outdoor adventures for quite some time in Canada, Australia, United States, England and New Zealand, and believed they could take the Banff rafting experience one step futher for vacationers who choose to come rafting on the Kicking Horse River.

Ted and Liz wanted to do it better than they’d seen it being done…more attention to detail, quality rafting equipment to provide for you at no charge, more comforts, more (and better) risk management, more interaction with your guides and other staff and more fun for you!

Ted and Liz have been the only owners that the Banff Rafting Association (formerly Wild Water Adventures) has ever had. The company was built, not bought, and Ted and Liz take great pride in that.

Our staff that choose to return each summer do so because they also share that passion for quality and making you “feel good” during your time with us. They strive to “WOW” every guest, and would be pleased if you gave them the privilege of showing you what they do, and the passion with which they do it.

Where is The Banff Rafting Association?

The Banff Rafting Association’s main rafting office is located in Lake Louise, Alberta, smack dab in Banff National Park, in main lobby of the historic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Our operations headquarters are at our “RiverBase Daylodge” on the famous Kicking Horse River, about 40 minutes west of Lake Louise and 1 hr 20 minutes from Banff, Alberta in the Canadian Rockies.

Your Rafting Guides

Hand-picked from around the world, we choose guides who are capable of doing so much more than simply steering a raft down a river. Our guides are river professionals, as well as naturalists, storytellers, humourists and more. They take safety seriously but love to have fun on the river with you. All of our guides have a wealth of experience and regularly upgrade their qualifications and skills for first aid and river rescue. All Banff Rafting Association guides are Trip Leaders, which is the highest level of certification that can be obtained.
